Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?

Yeah, I was only talking about actual convicts. Not every homeless person is a criminal. The troublesome ones usually are: assaults, sexual assaults, drug dealing and possession (those are still felonies). Not to mention aggravated trespassing.

Re: War in Gaza

Unfortunately, what should be infrastructure spending like the chips act mostly is getting diverted to boondoggles. Everyone has their snout in the trough, and nobody is accountable to actually deliver results.

Re: Poll: Auto Accident Fatalities and Injuries

It’s hard to imagine a future where self governing cars have carte Blanche to just mow people over and get away with it. If they do, perhaps we could carry car-disabling firearms to fire upon any autonomous vehicles before they kill us. I predict the opposite. NHTSA won't allow any autonomous vehic...

Re: Is Biden Fit to be President?

Speaking of fitness for president. This is from today. At least neither Biden nor Trump have actual worms eating their brains. You just can't make this stuff up can you? And if RFK Jr. was more than just a egotistical vanity candidate, he would actually be the 2nd oldest president ever elected (aft...

Re: Is Biden Fit to be President?

On the issue of supporting Israel, Ben Shapiro has said that Fetterman is one of the biggest surprises in politics recently. Speaking purely politically, I think that one of the best things Biden could do for himself is embrace a few causes such as support for Israel and maybe a few other things to...

Re: War in Gaza

Military spending effectively is short term stimulus. And most the stimulation is of wealthy contractor pockets. Well yes. And often not even stimulus at all. Just a transfer of wealth to wealthy investors who are squirreling the money away and not circulating it. My comment was in reference to the...

Re: Is Biden Fit to be President?

I typically don't weigh in on this stuff, but I view this along the same line as the Fetterman fiasco: the democrats are proving to the world they can put anyone anywhere they want and get away with it. It sounds like Fetterman has mostly recovered. On the issue of supporting Israel, Ben Shapiro ha...

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?

Very sad. Most my experience with street people has been the same… they suddenly go dark once they realise you’re offering a real opportunity for change.

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?

I see zero problems with vagrancy laws and prison work camps for repeat offenders. The simple fact is, nobody HAS to use illegal street drugs, commit acts of violence, or yell at passersby. Work also provides dignity and in a compulsory setting, would steer such people into more healthy life habits...
