Re: Progressive/Conservative threshold?
An associate of mine (who had posted here before) informs me that BMA is experiencing a heavy Reformed influence… some members are leaving to join Reformed churches. Other members see no problem at all in even 5 point Calvinism. Meanwhile, BMA itself has taken strong stances against Reformed doctrin...

Re: War in Gaza
I would respect the ICC’s judgments just like I respect the judgments of my local judge who has adjudicated some of my neighbours as being speeders, thieves, drunk drivers and so on.

Vehicles indeed are out of much of Gen Z’s price range, let alone the cost of repairs. Gen Z doesn’t have $40,000 lying around to buy a generic new car.

Re: May 11 2024 Freedom of Religion in the U.S.
How well do Mr. Butker's beliefs around family align with Catholic thought? I'm not an expert on Catholicism but hasn't their position always been people are blessed to pursue callings of service over creating families. Based on Catholic people I was around (including people who have taken vows of ...

Re: HPV and Cancer link
Per one of my friends new in town, Hopkins peds. will not accept new patients for well child care unless the patient's parents are willing to vaccinate as per the CDC schedule. They apparently feel that these unvaccinated children are potential Measles vectors, and are choosing (rightly, I believe)...

Re: HPV and Cancer link
It is generally not the schools. Only Rhode Island, Virginia, and DC include the HPV vaccine in the list of required school vaccines. Can you explain to us how a school has any right at all to demand children be vaccinated for an STD? Last I checked, sexual activity isn’t supposed to be happening a...

Re: HPV and Cancer link
Refusing a potentially lifesaving vaccine is sin. I am calling it out. It is no different than failing to treat any other illness you come across. It is doing harm. Maybe you did not hear this before your first clinical rotation: I think accepting a vaccine made using stem cell research is sin. &qu...

I find the idea of redefining hpv as a “childhood disease” disturbing.

Ken, People who engage in fornication eventually are punished with eternal torment unless they repent. Incurable, painful STDs are just a foreshadowing of that. If your children ever get cancer I'm sure you will be happy to tell them and their children this very thing. That it is God's will that th...
