Re: Churches, Dealerships, and Franchises

I was not aware that there are sewing circles that sew dresses. This is a thing that seems to exist in more conservative circles including Holdemans. If there is a from-the-world* person who wants to attend and would like to have more modest dresses, and nobody has spares in their closet that fit, ...

Re: The Danger of Reactionary Theology

I don't see in Scripture that it says to use removal/excommunication from fellowship on those who disagree about how to apply Scripture (rather than on those who deny core doctrines of the faith or live in unrepentant sin). We don't excommunicate or discipline people from the two Rosedale Network c...

Re: Churches, Dealerships, and Franchises

But more importantly an attitude of submitting into the church because it is where God wants me to be - not because it fits me or can be changed for my opinions - but because God wants to stretch my self denial is going to always be more restrictive on my flesh but lively in Spirit. The examples yo...

Re: Poll: Who will win 2024 Presidency?

The Pennsylvania primary seems to be a good sign for Biden. In the Democratic primary, Biden got 88.2% or 928,081 votes. In the Republican primary, Trump got 82.8% or 790,326 votes. My take on this is that the Republicans are less interested in supporting Trump than the Democrats are in supporting ...

One could as well ask the utility of keeping buses, trucks, and cars in cities too. Josh! Welcome to the club. I never would have took you for being a "15-Minute City" advocate. Sounds like a ringing endorsement for public transportation. :P You can add trains to that list above. I'...

Re: Churches, Dealerships, and Franchises

I’m not sure why this would be an issue for sewing and ministering? One family thinks they should wear cape dresses. Another family is influenced by Charity and is anti-cape dress. So at sewing, they are going to be at odds with each other... Ministering to worldly people also becomes difficult, be...

Re: Churches, Dealerships, and Franchises

True. I am just saying that to have a range of acceptable practices in a church, you need to have a church full of mature, principled people who don't love the world, nor the things of the world. A few examples: 1. On the conservative side, you might have folks who dress very distinctly but simply....

When I was learning to read, I learned the phrases "Neither foreign sovereign seized counterfeit forfeitted leisure" and "Either weird heifer [is] protein".
