Re: Russia Invades Ukraine 2022

Tide turned a long time ago, but they haven’t lost yet. I don’t expect Ukraine to hold out without boots on the ground from Allies. I think if NATO ends up in the Ukraine, then it's no longer a regional conflict and we might be looking at World War III. I don't think anyone has the appetite for tha...

Re: Preparation for Baptism

German Baptists might have a belief in baptismal regeneration but in my experience are quite “Anabaptist” in their approach to it, and a sizeable fraction believe in universal salvation anyway. This is interesting! I'm certainly curious to know if you've actually talked to more than perhaps 10 or 1...

Re: Worldbook Encyclopedia Censorship Topics

Yes, that's him. I'd say he has done a tremendous amount of work, pouring through basically all of the articles that might contain photos, diagrams, or text info that a conservative parent would not want to have available to a child. (It is, of course, a parent's rightful place to be able to do thi...

Re: Business opportunities serving low-tech Anabaptist groups

Here’s a few: Pilots and train engineers Enlisted men and officers in the military Security guards Police officers Lawyers I was thinking of opportunities specifically serving low-tech Anabaptist groups, but yeah... Low tech Anabaptists used these services. For example, Holdemans take commercial ai...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil

There certainly has been furor of Sattler students returning home and declaring their baptisms invalid. It would be helpful if someone could shed light on this. I find the use of the word “sacrament” particularly interesting, as I don’t see that word anywhere in scripture and the Bible seems to teac...

Re: 2/3 of Roman Catholic Churches in Baltimore to close

Perhaps the reality is that the people with ethnic and religious affiliation moved - probably to escape Baltimore’s ridiculous levels of crime.

Re: Sattler College Turmoil

The square brackets were to give the context which was in the context of him explaining his early church views in baptism regeneration. I cannot remember enough of the context to type it out word for word. It is entirely possible those views have changed. So, let’s ask the question outright: Does Fo...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil

To quote Matthew Milioni at KFW (from my memory); “Plain people, Amish and Mennonites are so close to the truth, yet almost none of them are saved [referring to baptism by pouring]. If we are able to get more church plants going, perhaps we could save a few of them.” FotW’s founders see themselves ...
