Certain Mormons request access to baptise by proxy my grandma, and my mother keeps on not granting permission.

Another thought - Well, we DID meet, that time you came to Berlin..... That's true :) So that makes 1. Then along a different line, I also say I'm Dutch Mennonite when wanting to make a distinctive reference to the Dutch "baptism-minded" as distinct from the Swiss Brethren heritage and tr...

Re: Poll: Putin and Ukraine
Honestly, the port and buffer against NATO seem like the only legitimate claims from a secular perspective. We can argue all day over what NATO was intending but I listened to his speech on weapons and it was a fairly logical case for invasion. De-nazification? Yeah right… To be fair, Ukraine has o...

Re: Should negligent parents be punished by the law?

Re: "Give to whomever asks you": voluntary speeding fines
Wife: Could you just email them to say that one is broken? you could even volunteer to pay for it to get fixed if you’re super motivated. Email the city of Cleveland to tell them their speed camera that gives fake citations is broken? surely they have some sort of contact number or email or s...

Re: "Give to whomever asks you": voluntary speeding fines
I think it’s a good idea to pay these. Especially if the amount they are asking for isn’t egregiously out of sync with the crime. For example, if they asked for ten thousand dollars, and you don’t have it, it is in no way whatsoever bad to just ignore the request. It piqued my interest, particularl...
