Re: Poll: Auto Accident Fatalities and Injuries

Re: War in Gaza
Imagine what the $2.3 trillion could have bought. At $18,000 per household, I think we can all come up with some ideas. Blowing 2.3 trillion benefits the economy but lays more debt on the average American. Whereas injecting 2.3 trillion into the spending market results in inflation. I prefer not sp...

Re: Poll: Auto Accident Fatalities and Injuries
The equivalent for gasoline would be using a gas tax to pay for all the oil wars in the middle east and military buildup there from the Iraq wars to the current mess in Yemen. And make no mistake, the Iraq war was about oil. We don't invade countries like the Congo simply because they have dictator...

Re: Poll: Auto Accident Fatalities and Injuries
“Self driving” (which so far only Mercedes in the U.S. market has brought a fully self driving car) is no different in an EV than a gasoline or hybrid car; modern cars have electronically controlled accelerator pedals, brakes, and even steering now. Self driving is just a very expensive boondoggle s...

Re: The Israeli state?
Israel is not an Israelite state, but I Jewish state. Many Jews claim it home because of historical times that Israelites lived there. They are the decedents of the Israelites. I am a Zionist. I believe the Jewish people should have a home and make a state out of it. I am glad they do not restrict ...

Going electric puts one at the mercy of power outages. This is already a huge problem in California - when it gets hot, my in laws have to endure rolling blackouts once the sun goes down.

Re: Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events
As an aside, I find it really annoying how plain people refer to a “Junior” as if we’re all supposed to know who that is. I have literally been asked, “Do you know Junior?” Junior who? I probably know 50 “Juniors”. Ivan Martin Jr who was ordained bishop shortly after Pilgrim started I just got off ...

Re: The Israeli state?
"Political Zionism and Christian Zionism are anathema to Christian faith ... The true Israel today is neither Jews nor Israelis, but believers in the Messiah, even if they are Gentiles ..." Agree or disagree? Agree… but I like to be a tad cautious before denouncing Zionism as “anathema”, ...
