Re: Trump Convicted

The fraud that he was convicted of was laundering the hush money payments to his mistress THROUGH HIS BUSINESS. If he had just written her a check out of his personal checking account we wouldn't be here. Making personal payments from your business that you own isn't illegal. (Most small businesses...

Re: Trump Convicted

If I made a payment to my lawyer, I would put it in QuickBooks under "legal fees". And if the payment was actually for something other than legal frees you would be committing fraud by doing so. No, I wouldn't be, because I don't live in a state with deranged "laws" like New Yor...

Re: Trump Convicted

Fraud is a deception deliberately practiced to secure unfair or unlawful gain. Another definition is the intentional misrepresentation of truth in order to obtain something of value by inducing another to rely upon false information. Can you describe the unlawful or unfair gain? When I google "...

Re: Trump Convicted

1. Trump claimed that he never even had an affair with Stormy Daniels during the time his 3rd wife was recovering from childbirth. People found that claim not credible. Not a crime (although it should be). 2. Trump claimed there was no hush money payoff to Stormy Daniels. Again, not a credible clai...

Re: Marrying Someone With a Promiscuous Past

Ken, I really don't care to discuss this further unless you'll agree to stop arguing in bad faith, where you seemingly try to attack things you know very little about (such as the anthropology of Holdeman marriage practices) in a combative, argumentative tone. If you're willing to be reasonable and ...

Re: Trump Convicted

It was enough for the jury and that is all that matters isn't it? Their actual job is to weigh all the evidence. If this case is reversed on appeal it won't be for lack of evidence. They had mountains of evidence. And I doubt there are many Americans (even Republicans) who actually believe that he ...

Re: Marrying Someone With a Promiscuous Past

Folks, if a marriage proposal is a complete surprise to the gal, than something has gone off the rails badly. My wife was somewhat surprised, but not totally so. She said she kinda suspected something like that was coming. Generally, I am sure women can sense that this one guy is not ordinary. Hold...

Re: Trump Convicted

You mean like his signatures on the checks? Evidence like that? Do you know how many checks someone like Trump has to sign in a day? Signing a check with "Legal expenses" to a lawyer is little evidence. It was enough for the jury and that is all that matters isn't it? Their actual job is ...

Re: Marrying Someone With a Promiscuous Past

She could just fast until she is able to say yes Or, in the case of a certain young man interested in my daughter way back when, she could tell him that he would likely die waiting, that she just was not interested. Folks, if a marriage proposal is a complete surprise to the gal, than something has...
