Re: Mennonite Girl ,3, swept over waterfalls,2 years ago, parents now charged
Like I said, people have a conniption about being held accountable, especially when they are behind the wheel. What is your argument against speed cameras? Or don't you believe in enforcing speed limits either? Did you read what I said? I don't think it's good for a private, for-profit company to c...

"Stamp it up" was some MLM that used to be popular but doesn't seem to be catching on with the younger generation. When people want fancy wedding invitations now they pay to get it done online, it seems.

Re: Poll: Daniel Perry - Should he have been pardoned?
The population is less than 2% of Connecticut's. For comparison, Connecticut has about 6,000 police officers amongst its cities, and the northwest side of the state has some quite sparsely populated areas too that are served by just a sheriff and the state police, much like Klamath Co. So it's not t...

Re: Should negligent parents be punished by the law?
Like I said, it seems like it is really just single people having sex that you disapprove of, not single parenting. Let me clear it up for you. I don't approve of fornication. I also don't approve of people choosing to conceive a child and bear a child out of wedlock. Fostering or adopting a child ...

Re: Poll: Putin and Ukraine
Well it isn't true. The history of the USSR and Russia is the exact opposite. Everywhere in the USSR local languages were suppressed in favor of Russian. Not just in Ukraine but in every Soviet Republic from Lithuania to Kazakhstan. The history of the post Soviet era is local non-Russian speaking c...

Re: War in Gaza
Israel's stance has been not to care about civilian casualties in Gaza. This is not my understanding. They should be focusing on actual war with Hamas, not war against the civilian population. It is hard when the civilian population is harboring and helping Hamas. Those who do not willingly help th...

Re: Should negligent parents be punished by the law?
It seems it is the fornicating that you don't like, not the single parenting. I don't like either. I think fornication is wrong, and that it causes bad consequences, especially for children. I think being a birth parent out of wedlock is also bad, and is proven to cause bad outcomes. A foster carer...

Re: Mennonite Girl ,3, swept over waterfalls,2 years ago, parents now charged
But for the sake of your argument, I would be 100% in favor of red light and speeding cameras spread around the city. And start ticketing everyone who is breaking the law. Most red light cameras are installed by a private company that then runs the entire operation including collecting the money, a...

Re: Should negligent parents be punished by the law?
You know, I'm just going to repeat this for emphasis, Ken. It is completely disgusting to compare a selfless foster carer with a fornicator who gets pregnant out of wedlock. One person is trying to help make the world a better place, including for abused and neglected children. The other gives no th...

Re: Should negligent parents be punished by the law?
She is a willful single mother. She is a single mother who is willfully seeking MORE children. If single parenting represents negligence as you claim, then she should be punished same as any single mother who accidentally gets pregnant, willfully gets pregnant, or happens to get pregnant against he...
