Re: Trump Convicted
Tell us what conclusion the FEC reached with respect to Trump's guilt or innocence? The record is out there. Feel free to quote any part of it you want. They concluded there wasn't enough to recommend an investigation, let alone an indictment or prosecution. Let's look at the record shall we? From ...

Re: Catholic to Anabaptist
To give you a little more background on me: For the last twenty years I have mostly been investigating Buddhism, with a lot of emphasis on meditation. Buddha and Jesus, it seems to me, had closely similar lifestyles and, perhaps surprisingly, very similar precepts (e.g., non violence, compassion fo...

Re: Catholic to Anabaptist
I wasn't trying to attack the Catholic church, per se. I'm saying that IMO, raised very much as a Catholic, I don't regard it as particularly Christian. I regard it as more of a political institution (an instrument for helping governments/elites dominate non-elites). One of my aunts was an Evangeli...

Re: Trump Convicted
In the new world liberals want to create for themselves (and force the rest of us to live in), these things aren't relevant to justice: - Fairness. I keep seeing over and over "it doesn't matter if the trial was unfair and the jury shouldn't even consider that." That's a really interesting...

Re: Trump Convicted
No, the FEC deadlocked 2-2 on partisan grounds. Which means they didn't actually decide anything, look into anything, or reach any conclusions. They just lacked the votes to move forward with an investigation which is usually the case these days and why the FEC has become largely toothless. ... Con...

Re: Trump Convicted
The FEC looked at all this and said it was not a crime. Really??? https://www.citizensforethics.org/news/analysis/no-the-fec-did-not-absolve-trump-of-his-hush-money-campaign-finance-issues/ Yes. The FEC looked at it, and decided there wasn't grounds to move forward. But the six-person bipartisan ag...

I have no idea. I wasn't there. It wasn't televised. And I haven't read all 94 pages of trial transcripts. Knock yourself out if you are curious: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/05/30/nyregion/trump-hush-money-trial-transcript-may-29.html?u2g=i&unlocked_article_code=1.wE0.FzNI.mXQ7AHRb...

Re: HPV and Cancer link
So fitting modern car seats and hauling children is a non-issue for you then? Like I said, I don't plan to be in flagrant violation of the law, so I'll be using an F-150 as the family vehicle (and wife's vehicle when she's driving around with the kids). If it were still 2009 (the model year of my C...
