Re: Never have I ever.... Part 2

Our first use of email was through the mission center office account. We would take a diskette up to the office with a text file on it. The secretary would copy it into their computer and send it. Messages were automatically sent & received via an international telephone call twice a day, at noo...

I cannot say no to these either: Listened to a bakelite record. Listened to a recording on a cylinder player. Listened to a record on a wind-up phonograph. Listened to radio programs broadcast on short-wave. Listened to a recording on a reel-to-reel recorder. Listened to music on a player piano (in...

Re: Discipline vs. Motivation in your Christian walk?

I'll tell this story: a former employer (owned a construction company) was in his mid-50's and suffered a heart attack. Not serious, but nothing to sneeze at either. Anyways, doctor told him he needs to start exercising regularly to improve his cardiovascular system, or next time he wouldn't be so ...

If there was still any sense of moral decency left in the world's governments, ALL pornography would be against the law. Period. It is abusive to the core, an insult to every woman and girl. And something that injures the soul of every boy or man.

Re: The danger of “LGBT” teachers.

I am only familiar with one GSA chapter at one school. But at that one, there was a great deal of encouragement to explore sexuality, and members of the chapter were exploring their sexuality with each other. And parents were not even aware that their children were part of this. I really do see tha...

Re: The danger of “LGBT” teachers.

Curiosity: If a child is using a secret name (not revealed to their parents), what name is on the report cards? Wouldn't some students be offended in either case, no matter which is used?

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

Did you really attend a Microsoft workshop that said not to install security updates? I’m unclear on what exactly your “security procedure” is. The biggest risk in this day and age is out of date browsers. I cannot say that the speaker (a Microsoft representative whose job was testing on-line secur...

Re: Christians and Trans

Gender “confusion” is a gross sexual perversion. I think a big problem is not treating sexual perverts as they are and instead pretending it’s something okay. Jesus spoke plainly to the woman at the well and told her she was living in sin. When I read that story of the woman at the well in John 4, ...

Re: Browser for Windows 7?

With respect, the way you run security won’t actually prevent security problems. For example, opening something in “Print Preview” has been a source of security holes in the past relating to image rendering. Browsers that can function on the modern Internet won’t be supported or tested on Windows 7...
