I agree. I think he should go through the regular justice system.
Edit: This was a response to Ernie's question if a pardon would be a perversion of justice. I see a lot of posts have been made between.

Re: Church Government Models
Models are just models. North Korea, China and the Soviet Union are/were democratic republics, at least on paper. What counts is the internal relationships. All models can be subverted into unhealthy tyrannies. Correct. What we are looking at in this thread is functional governance. From that persp...

Daniel Perry - Should he have been pardoned? Why or why not? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-69013312 P.S. I often don't vote right away on my polls as I don't want to give away my leanings. :-) People shoot each other frequently in this country and go through standard channels of investig...

Re: Church Government Models
The Quaker method of governance by consensus doesn't really fit into any of your above categories. It is not direct democracy. Consensus is something different. I suspect churches truly move forward only by consensus regardless of the governance model. There must be a common vision and those who di...

Re: Church Government Models
In your list do episcopal and presbyterian both fall under representative democracy. I'm not familiar with how they work. Episcopal is rule by a body of bishops. Presbyterian falls between that and congregationalism, where the ruling body is composed of non ordained elders appointed by the congrega...

Re: Poll: Who will win 2024 Presidency?
I'm also not enthused about the political system but neither am I despondent, nor do I feel I am being cheated or stolen from nor mistreated. A majority of the world's population would trade with me and take the deal on offer regardless of the next president or the next. I am quite blessed and grat...

These are actual people Jesus cares about. If you are following Jesus, you will show compassion as Jesus would. I hope they never, never read this thread and stay far away from Mennonet. May Jesus comfort and care for them on the road ahead.
