Re: Anabaptism and Armageddon
I've been in the conservative Anabaptist world for a little over 20 years. I do not recall Armageddon ever being mentioned, and (generally speaking) I doubt if there is a common imagery of the any such thing ... at least not in my local community.

Re: Bringing the Good News
Well, it’s been more than a week since this question was posted. The result seems to have been nothing but silence. Are we to assume that “silence” is what is being done “to keep the Bible visible in the public square”? My personal experience over the last two decades is that “silence” is generally ...

Re: Conservative Anabaptist Church Finder & Information
The Snover, Michigan and Sauk Centre, MN Wisler church listings are accurate. Also, there are two more in Michigan that I am aware of. One is in Prescott and the other near Alpena. Both the Snover and Sauk Centre churches have suffered minor splits over the last few years. The Snover splinter group ...

Re: Immersion, Submersion, and Other Ways of Baptizing
Well, I've waded through all the various thoughts of everyone concerning immersion and submersion and have really gained nothing. All I can say is that when it comes to the form of baptism we can respond with either the least expression or the greatest expression of our sincerity. In my thinking, th...

We use NameCheap.com. Buy a standard domain name for $9 to $15/yr. Then purchase a basic web hosting account for about $34/yr. You don't have to actually have a web site, but with the hosting purchase you are allowed to have 50 email accounts that are set up by you via their cPanel app where you add...

Re: AIC 2021
"Vaccinations All Day Long: Navigating Covid-19, Chip Implants & Spiritual Warfare" I was discouraged to see this listed as one of the presentations. Unfortunately, too many of the speakers at AIC meetings are what I consider less-than-experts. I recall attending an AIC a few years bac...

Re: What defines you as conservative?
Nerto writes, "Threads like this remind me of my wife's family gatherings. ...... (And speaking of the color of men's shirts, both of my grandpas only wore light blue shirts to services. White shirts were considered worldly, a mark of pride.)" White shirts worldly? I have no idea how that ...

Re: What defines you as conservative?
To Soloist’s question, “Does this covering look like a cap? or more like a Muslim covering?” I respond with a few of questions of my own: Which style would better fit the scriptural definition as offered by Strong’s Greek … “to cover wholly, i.e. veil:—cover, hide”? By the way, generally speaking, ...

Re: What defines you as conservative?
What is conservative? I’d love to say this forum is full of nothing but conservative thinking. However, reality does sink in after a time. My wife and I have been in the Anabaptist world for some 20 years, and this is what we’ve seen … progression, I believe is what is it is commonly called. I will ...
