Re: Sattler College Turmoil
I don't think Sattler is targeting the Boston or even New England area primarily. My impression has been that they are marketing themselves to Anabaptist/Kingdom-Christian young people from across the country. I could be wrong. Didn't they do PR tours a few years back in the major Anabaptist hubs? ...

Re: Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapse
So what were the original guesses on how long it would take them to get the harbor back open? Yesterday was exactly 2 months since the bridge collapsed We will see how long it takes to get the bridge replaced. That is obviously the more difficult project. I saw 8 months and 10 months for temp bridg...

I would also agree that long term is vague. Seems like most commitments I see aren’t any longer then 3 years.
I don’t even get a feel of a church in 1 year…
Adoniram Judson seemed to look down on it substantially too..

Re: Poll: Auto Accident Fatalities and Injuries
Maybe the problem here isn't the phone but the car. If he was reading sports scores on his phone while riding an Amish buggy I doubt he would have accidentally swerved into the oncoming lane and caused a crash. The difference there is he would have died rather then killed. Still breaking the law. M...

Re: Poll: Auto Accident Fatalities and Injuries
This case should be a wake up call to any Christian that we have serious problems with phones when one gets thrown in prison for crime of using them. Any of us who use a phone in a non car safe mode while driving should repent. If that isn’t enough, get rid of your smartphone while you still can cho...

If you know someone who can repair, I wouldn’t. Most common problems are manageable.

Re: Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events
Apparently, if I remember right, Swatara was more lenient on standards on what cars that members can own. And the Shirksville folks considered them liberals because of it. I took it to be all in good fun at the time. Wife: maybe at some point. There are standards against sports cars and your truck ...
