Re: Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events

I have no religious or personal problem with him, but is it really surprising that Pilgrim is not “holding together” as a group considering how much there actual existence all stems from Stephen being ordained bishop. I know the evolution of the Lebanon district “issues” and despite their validity y...

Re: 2/3 of Roman Catholic Churches in Baltimore to close

The fact is any religion, regardless even of its truth, that ASKS of you is more likely to be supported than those that do not. People want to believe in something that is worthwhile. You strive through Marine boot camp precisely BECAUSE it is hard. That does not mean harder is better, and a religio...

Re: 2/3 of Roman Catholic Churches in Baltimore to close

Unquestionably Was this Archdiocese led well over the years? Heck no. Did you know the unofficial but widely used nickname...

Re: Questions about Communion / Lord's Supper

My comment about Sedevacanists was simply that the rationale or justification is different between those basing in on Vat II Issues versus the unusual situation with Benedict’s retirement (who I will probably always call Ratzinger). I pass no opinion on either, just explaining why the rationale is d...

Re: Questions about Communion / Lord's Supper

I believe it is fair to say. Sedevacanist is by definition not Catholic, although I am sure they disagree. Interestingly enough, prior Pomtificate sedevacanists had no leg to stand on, but the view that Radzinger was forced to resign makes an academic argument plausible that Francis was illegitimate...

Re: Questions about Communion / Lord's Supper

LOL. SSPX - Society of St. Pius X. The Catholic break away group originally lead by Archbishop Lefebvre which did not accept adoption of the Novus Ordo mass and would only accept the Latin Tridentine Mass. eventually somewhat reunited (officially) but again increasing distant from Pope Francis (who ...

Re: "Good Friday" and Matthew 12:40

Ok, but remember the part about humility.

A couple of internet dudes are right and all the Orthodox Church fathers, and Aquinas, etc. are wrong?
