Re: Anabaptist church planting: a proposal
But if I was going to guess as to which ones will still be around 100 years from now like the Mennonite communities our forefathers built. I know which I would pick. Are you attempting to plant such a community? Why or why not? As an aside, this Christmas break I have gotten involved in researching...

Re: Christian Orders and Lessons for Anabaptists and similar groups
Any thoughts on why we don't encourage people interested in a plain lifestyle to create their own church instead of trying to join an Anabaptist group? Maybe FotW, is an example of this. I've had this thought now for about 20 years, ever since realizing that many people are never going to be able t...

Re: Christian Orders and Lessons for Anabaptists and similar groups
I know a seeker, now a Mennonite, who joined a conference that holds to the Dordrecht Confession who went through instruction class and was baptized and held your view of Genesis, Ken. It went years before he changed his views about Genesis. He wasn't interested in joining a MC USA church, rather a ...

Re: Christian Orders and Lessons for Anabaptists and similar groups
Wouldn't that be un-Biblical and contrary to the teachings of Jesus to tell people "you should be in a church but just not OUR church" Hypothetical situation...an evolutionary scientist wants to join a plain Mennonite congregation, but the preacher ask him to put his evolutionary views on...

Re: Evidence for Evolution
Also, there are PhD scientists who believe the creation account in Genesis. One of my favorites graduated from Harvard. They are not pseudo scientists. I find Genesis beautiful when compared with the NYT article that was posted.

Re: Evidence for Evolution
Why don’t you tell us how you really feel? This is the kind of claptrap that Ken Ham (currently the most famous creationist huckster) makes his living selling. You tell me if you think this is either Biblical or scientific or just made-up nonsense from his own imagination. https://qph.cf2.quo...
