Re: It’s Official: Covenant Brethren Church
I knew there were a few "pop ups" but couldn't have said it was that many. It was Myers who made a comment to that effect on FaceBook. Here's how they are counting, with formatting and [comments] for clarification: As we all know, the Brethren movement began on that August morning in 1708...

Re: Poll: Concealed Weapons among Plain Anabaptists?
I’m always intrigued how horrified Mennonites are over a concealed weapon, while being willing to commit non-physical violence at the drop of a hat. I would have to agree with this. Uncircumcised hearts are what is to blame. Underneath all the plain clothing are hearts that aren't much different fr...

Re: Church of Monett / earlychurchtruth.com
I used to follow this group on various member's blogs, but lost track of them over the years. David Keeling used to be with the Nationwide Mennonites, if I remember correctly.

Re: Groffdale Conference split
Does the Groffdale Conference allow insurance? I'm thinking of construction insurance, but also do they allow insurance in general?

Re: Groffdale Conference split
While views on technology certainly were a part of what caused the split, I do find it interesting that before the split, the main group made shift towards being more restrictive on technology, seemingly to appease some of those bishops that threatened to leave. However, apparently it was not what ...

Re: Groffdale Conference split
When we were out to Virginia (buying a vehicle from UnderShepard, 4 or so years ago), we were invited that Sunday noon to a home to which two Groffdale Conf couples were also invited. I remember them talking about strains within the conference, but (sadly) I do not remember what it was about. I kno...

Groffdale Conference split
The Groffdale Conference/Joe Wengers experienced a split in 2019. The new church is called the Midwest Conference. Does anyone know the reasons for the split?

Re: The *official* MN Gun Ownership Thread/Poll
None of the poll options apply to me. I don't have guns, but there is nothing wrong with having some.
