Re: Modest Clothing Directory

I am not impressed. Some of those outfits are too tight, the dresses are too short and have too low of necklines (somewhat plunging V), and some of the head coverings almost look like the Moslems wear. We've bought from similar sites I think. We've found even if most of them aren't very close to wh...

Re: Valentine's Day?

After working in the food industry, I now know that Valentine's night is the absolute worst time to go out to dinner  Tip your waitstaff extra well tonight! Hubby and I don't really celebrate it, as my birthday is a few days before. The most we're doing is brunch at our favourite cafe tomorrow ...

Re: Modest Clothing Directory

I've found some fairly modest dresses and tops through jane.com! I think they're run by Mormons. It's a sort of online marketplace like Amazon, with a focus on clothes. Nice stuff, and usually reasonably priced as well.

Re: Baptism at a public beach

I was baptized at a public beach. I think it can be a good witness.

However, I'd have more concerns about a 12 and 8 year old being baptized than the publicity of the setting...

Re: Depression discussion

It's a bumpy road, and in my case, as I'm 6 months pregnant, the medication was a necessary measure. It took a lot to even arrive to the point where I recognized the need for help. Can you say more about the relationship between medication and pregnancy? If you feel comfortable, can you say more ab...

Re: Depression discussion

Wise words temp- I honestly feel that Max, like so many- are recognizing the tremendous amount of overprescribing anti-depressants. I remember about 15 years ago, in my office I was the only one of several ladies not on either anti-depressants or a prescription for anxiety. It seems they are just t...

Re: Depression discussion

One of our ministers went through a tough period and was diagnosed with GAD (general anxiety disorder). He tells everyone that the worst thing to say to someone struggling is: "Just snap out of it." I would agree heartily with this! It is too easy to say "You just have to...." W...

Re: Depression discussion

I started experiencing depressive episodes after some major life changes (college graduation, marriage, and moving). They were exacerbated by a flare-up of a chronic health condition, which caused extreme physical pain. I'm currently under treatment (medication and therapy) for severe prenatal depre...

Oh no you didn't. Calling your ex wife a whore was bad enough but you do NOT have any right to call people on this board nasty names.

And I'd still like an answer to my post, unless you're uncomfortable having your beliefs confronted by a woman.
