Re: Do you agree with this statement? Part 3

I disagree. One of the things that I've learned from 25 years of married life, is that love often doesn't need action. Sometimes it just means being there and nothing else. Often my wife tells me things, not because she wants me to "fix" them or do anything. But simply because she wants m...

Anyway I'm just rambling on but would love to hear more thoughts from others on this. Do you know personally of an unchurched person who became a Christian and quickly experienced radical changes in their lives ?
That should be a thread all in its own! 8-)

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?

Unfortunately, that's the best you can do for someone in that situation. I've hit a point where I don't think enabling an addiction is doing good at all. That's why I like working with places that have rather strict rules, so I know the help will actually be helping. The places and programs that I ...

Do you agree with this statement? Part 3

Came across my social media feed today.

Re: Is Biden Fit to be President?

It is obvious Biden is physically and mentally declining at a rapid pace. It is a commonly known fact that being president ages someone faster than normal. And with Biden, he already is an aged person. Biden isn't fit to be a room by himself. The few times I watched clips of his speeches, I have to...

https://www.yahoo.com/news/student-raised-400k-d-c-010143354.html Yeah. Just dealt with a homeless person that one of our congregants picked up from a doorway on the way to church. Dry clothes, fed, gift cards to provide for the next two meals. Tried to hook her up with a Christian group that runs ...

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?

Yes, Wilmer was an EMPC minister If this is who I think it is, I visited his congregation and had dinner with him. Can't think what congregation he was part of but it was northern Lebanon County or Berks maybe. I've lost touch with those circles. I think he was at Little Mountain at Fredericksburg ...

Wilmer Martin from Lehman St, Lebanon PA assisted them in getting started. This man you speak of... would he have been EPMC at one time? Yes, Wilmer was an EMPC minister If this is who I think it is, I visited his congregation and had dinner with him. Can't think what congregation he was part of bu...

Re: Is Biden Fit to be President?

I typically don't weigh in on this stuff, but I view this along the same line as the Fetterman fiasco: the democrats are proving to the world they can put anyone anywhere they want and get away with it.
