When one of the three Chinese restaurants closed in the local town, two sushi places were built. I must admit I do not care for sushi or sashimi. Same. I don’t care much for sushi, or Japanese food. Even though I’m willing to eat it occasionally. I have eaten it but only when I was ravenous and tha...

Re: Churches, Dealerships, and Franchises

I fundamentally think we have a major ecclesiology problem that needs to be fixed for a change that matters in 500 years. I feel we are on the cusp of something...and folks across the sector are realizing the western structures, including all aspects of CA churches, are not quite working. This is m...

Re: Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events

Wife: Probably something to do with volleyball or baseball. In all seriousness, they at least currently are both pilgrim, so maybe they just had different overseeing bishops. Closer connections with other pilgrim churches might just be as simple as everyone being related. Apparently, if I remember ...

Re: How accurate do you find this map?

I am not well traveled. haven't been west of Pittsburgh. Been to the Bowery in NYC a few times in the past. Not much to the south, either. I really shouldn't be voting in this poll at all 8-)

Re: Story Time!

I gave beer to very sick (and very expensive) rabbit once. Wife: did it help? Yes. My first ambulance partner was a dairy farmer. (keep in mind he was Horning Mennonite!). He would go to the beer distributor and buy the cheapest beer in a glass bottle. When cows would get "twisted stomach"...
