Re: Is Biden Fit to be President?

I typically don't weigh in on this stuff, but I view this along the same line as the Fetterman fiasco: the democrats are proving to the world they can put anyone anywhere they want and get away with it.

Wilmer Martin from Lehman St, Lebanon PA assisted them in getting started.

Re: Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events

As an aside, I find it really annoying how plain people refer to a “Junior” as if we’re all supposed to know who that is. I have literally been asked, “Do you know Junior?” Junior who? I probably know 50 “Juniors”. Ivan Martin Jr who was ordained bishop shortly after Pilgrim started I couldn't thin...

As an aside, I find it really annoying how plain people refer to a “Junior” as if we’re all supposed to know who that is. I have literally been asked, “Do you know Junior?” Junior who? I provably know 50 “Juniors”. I honestly never knew him by any other name. My wife may know. I'll ask. Sorry to ge...

Re: Pilgrim Mennonite Conference current events

I have no religious or personal problem with him, but is it really surprising that Pilgrim is not “holding together” as a group considering how much there actual existence all stems from Stephen being ordained bishop. I know the evolution of the Lebanon district “issues” and despite their validity ...

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?

We have a variety of folks here that like to think through things and I hope this subject can be discussed in a mature manner and not get political more than it has to be. I was recently made aware of most likely the biggest drug problem we have in American in Kensington Philidelphia, which is clos...

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?

Kensington is indeed pretty horrible, although there are some (liberal) Mennonite groups trying to engage in church planting and other social services efforts there, like an Everence branch, in partnership with the community clinic there that opened as a sort of "public space" (except pri...
