As do I!

Never was much of a briefs kinda guy :D
Boxer briefs. Best of both worlds. And if you happen to buy Manmade you'll discover they solve problems you didn't realize you had. According to their ads, anyway.

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?

As much as we like and want to help, want to see lives transformed and delivered, or else might just have a saviour complex, the success ultimately rests on the addict. There is no technique, no empathy, no magic formula that can be found. They need to do it largely themselves - yes, we want to be ...

Then I also need to wonder if there isn't a direct spiritual connection as well. Jesus didn't tell possessed people to just quit their behaviours. He delivered them. I suspect there is something we could learn about the connection between the spirit realm and drug use.

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?

This subject should be spun off into its own thread. I see both Sightist's point and Josh's, both at the same time. I'm not gonna fight about it. Josh is absolutely right that nobody quits until they hit rock bottom. He is also right that drug use is a choice. I doubt very much that he's correct wh...

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?

Ultimately, stopping using drugs isn't that hard. When someone truly hits rock bottom, they'll stop using and get clean. My spirit disagrees with this statement. It could be correct, somehow. It is also unhelpful and in my opinion barely passes the test of Christian charity. Let’s try another examp...

Re: Toronto area

Does anyone know the name of this church? You may need to contact Signtist. Are you coming to the funeral? Yes, we are in Ontario. Roger Drudge was married to my wife's sister. We will be at all the visitations and funeral. I will miss him greatly. You are welcome to come introduce yourself. :-) I ...

Seriously???
Don't worry. It won't be long before the rest of us aren't holy enough and sandal dust will be shaken in our general direction. Hopefully this happens sooner rather than later.

Re: Price of beef

It’s been a while since I bought beef. I bought half a steer from my neighbor. Hanging weight was 554 pounds for half. $1 per pound for the butcher and $3 for the farmer. $2,216 for half a beef. Insane. I’m not complaining, it’s just ridiculous how high beef is. How do they figure hanging weight? Y...
