Re: Justice

We all know what the Bible says about negligence causing death. Are you suggesting similar courses of action today?

Re: Justice

Ok, Josh. Do you have kids? I don't remember. Let's suppose you do, and one of your daughters gets raped, and you discover who it is. What does justice for your daughter look like?

Suppose one of your sons is murdered, and the killer is caught. What does justice for your dead son look like?

To truly understand justice, though, we can simply read the Bible. God even gave us a perfect law code so that we can understand what is just.
We have ample instruction for how to treat each other equitably. But what is the Biblical advice for when that code of ethics is broken?

Justice

What is justice? We often hear "justice needs to be served" or perhaps "she deserves justice." What exactly do we mean, and exactly how does that look? Does it look different if the victim of the injustice is alive vs deceased? It is my studied opinion that we have no idea what j...

When you lose a family member in tragic or violent ways, and you get to read false salacious (correctly used :) ) details in the paper, it changes the way you read things in the news. I understand the purpose of this thread, but I hope the family doesn't ever read it.

Re: Mennonite Girl ,3, swept over waterfalls,2 years ago, parents now charged

Again, I don't think the title is accurate. "Mennonite girl, 3", simply is not accurate, unless you're using "Mennonite" purely as some kind of ethnic marker. Which is something I strongly disagree with. He got something wrong. So did you. I strongly disagree with you accusing J...

Re: Mennonite Girl ,3, swept over waterfalls,2 years ago, parents now charged

If the family is ex-Mennonite, though, there's no need to add "Mennonite" to the title. Right. Because we can't allow a person to possibly get one detail wrong. But then we go ahead and use hyperbolic language like "salacious." There was nothing sexual about the title. I need mo...

Re: Mennonite Girl ,3, swept over waterfalls,2 years ago, parents now charged

I don't know how the title fits the definition of salacious. Actually, it doesn't. Either that or I don't know the definition as well as I think I do. And not every Mennonite is godly, and not every non-Mennonite is Worldly. Good grief I've known some selfish, abusive, cheating, greedy Mennonites th...
