Re: Justice
I don't have answers, BTW. I only have questions.

Re: Justice
Josh, if justice is important, what exactly does it look like? So far you've said God has the answers. Make sure a perp can't reoffend. And don't put yourself in a position where crimes can be committed against you. Also you said forgiveness is important. So justice would mean you would seek maximum...

Re: Justice
I'm actually trying to figure out your thinking. Because if we're supposed to obey the law, then obviously lethal self defense and death penalties are acceptable and you don't prescribe to that.
Prevention is certainly wise, but not everyone is going to be so fortunate as to avoid every criminals.

We all know what the Bible says about negligence causing death. Are you suggesting similar courses of action today?

Suppose one of your sons is murdered, and the killer is caught. What does justice for your dead son look like?

Justice
What is justice? We often hear "justice needs to be served" or perhaps "she deserves justice." What exactly do we mean, and exactly how does that look? Does it look different if the victim of the injustice is alive vs deceased? It is my studied opinion that we have no idea what j...

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?
This subject should be spun off into its own thread. I see both Sightist's point and Josh's, both at the same time. I'm not gonna fight about it. Josh is absolutely right that nobody quits until they hit rock bottom. He is also right that drug use is a choice. I doubt very much that he's correct wh...

Re: Morals & ethics behind supporting certain mission efforts?
Simple. Very simple. There are a lot of things that have simple formulas that are incredibly hard to implement and see through to completion. Anyway, I said I wasn't gonna argue, and I've gone ahead and argued.
Maybe we're addicted to the need to be right.

Boxer briefs. Best of both worlds. And if you happen to buy Manmade you'll discover they solve problems you didn't realize you had. According to their ads, anyway.
