Re: Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
It might be legal to take a weapon into a biker bar too. But that doesn’t mean: (1) it is prudent to be there in the first place, and (2) prudent to be carrying a weapon when you are there. In fact, doing so might well attract unwanted attention unless confrontation is actually what you seek. Let's...

Re: Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
Many a farmer and rancher had to use a weapon to defend themselves over the years from human and vermin. Agreed, there are many groups such as PETA that like to target farmers. They've been know to steal animals, burn down barns/homes, and cause all kinds of ruckus. [DISCLAIMER] This being “Menno” ...

Re: Critical Race Theory and systemic inequalities
Housing is expensive here on the west coast. Yes, $200,000 homes would be nice but they don’t exist other than perhaps small studio condos. A $500,000 family home is still a huge improvement over a $1 million home that is required by law to be built in much of the land around here. Doing the math, ...

Re: Critical Race Theory and systemic inequalities
in middle school we only had one classroom for each grade in mobile buildings. I don't remember doing anything science related except for this one time we put mentos in a soda (outside the classroom of course). In high school I think I had a science class freshman or sophomore year but I don't recal...

Re: Freight trains, various & sundry culinary projects, and random posts!
Now that's a scary one. https://www.faithpot.com/train-cuts-truck-in-half/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=15/11/2021 We had a similar one at my work with a box truck that ran through the crossing gate. It didn't get split in half exactly, more of a explosion into a mill...

Re: Russ Douthat on Critical Race Theory
If these areas are open to all then why was it a issue for these students being there? A sticker or shirt whether you agree with it or not shouldn't be reasons to be excluded from a public space. It doesn't matter if the school says it's open for everyone, if the students who organized the area are...
