Re: War in Gaza

Hamas told the AP that they would resist any foreign military that assists in setting up a temporary pier to facilitate shipping aid into the country. Why does Hamas oppose the pier so much that they will launch rockets at its construction workers? Do you have the actual quote? I I had to venture a...

Re: Clarence Yoder, the Buffalo Challenger...

(AP) IN OTHER NEWS, YODER'S YOUNGER BROTHER, JEREMY, RAISES EYEBROWS BY POKING THE DINOSAURS ON A POPULAR MENNONITE WEB FORUM. At least his excuse was that he was drunk. His younger brother Jeremy is stone cold sober when he pokes the dinosaurs here. Quite the family. Older brother is drunk, younge...

Re: Clarence Yoder, the Buffalo Challenger...

According to news reports, Mr. Yoder approached the bison too closely (within 25 yards) and kicked it in the leg.

Maybe he should have done the kicking from more than 25 yards away!

I think people are responsible for their own choices. That is why I think it's important what we choose to do. I'm not willing to knowingly deliver the ammo to the next mass murderer.

Re: Political office

That is ridiculous and is quite different. However, if I found that someone wanted me to take them to such a place, I would probably decline to drive them there. I don't support men going to things like brothels, strip clubs, and so on and would not want to play any part in the exploitation of wome...

Re: Political office

I am also baffled why delivering prescriptions to people in very remote rural areas requires also delivering pornography to people’s houses. The two don’t seem connected at all. In the context of working as a mail carrier for the USPS, yes, one requires the other, if both are being delivered. Becau...

Re: War in Gaza

I think there could have been more separation between the militants and non-militants. If the militants deliberately defy the separation and infiltrate the non-militants (which has been their strategy), then we are just back where we started. And wouldn't self-identifying as a militant be painting ...

Re: Charlotte Shootout

When our military clears houses in Iraq or Afghanistan, often the lead guy faces extreme risk of death due to being the first guy in. Making an effort to identify friend or foe before shooting increases the likelihood of getting shot. Hypothetically, if they had an armored car, what would they have...
