Re: Russia Invades Ukraine 2022
Reading comprehension is hard, I know. Yes, I've noticed you find it difficult. I suppose that's why you claimed "208 dead and buried in the camp" earlier in this thread and have now gotten to 267. Older sources including the Daughters of the Confederacy which maintained the cemetery for ...

Re: Russia Invades Ukraine 2022
Meticulous records indeed! How are there 267 graves for only 208 recorded deaths and burials? Almost 1/4 of the graves have no record? If you are so wrong about those easily researched facts, it goes to the credibility of everything else that you write here. Reading comprehension is hard, I know. Y...

Re: Russia Invades Ukraine 2022
Of course the actual historical record of this prison camp was that was a prison camp for Confederate officers and housed over 10,000 Confederate prisoners during the course of the war, of which 208 died in captivity and are buried in the cemetery on site. The Johnson Island Historical Society actu...

Can someone please explain why Shawn Martinez, the guy playing against Tunde Onakoya, is not also considered champion at 60 hours as well? White Privilege maybe? Perhaps a case of news writers who have abdicated their responsibility to present the news accurately? Here is an article stating the wor...

You're trying an impossibility. If an egg is properly boiled it will never be soft.steve-in-kville wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 6:35 am Properly soft boiling an egg is a skill that continues to elude me. I can make eggs every other way, but I never can soft boil one where it turns out right.

Re: Sheetz hit with federal discrimination lawsuit
Nope. What you have here is the federal government using disparate impact reasoning to “prove” there is discrimination. If a policy has a disproportionate impact on a favored group, it simply must be discriminatory. It is the kissing cousin of “implicit bias” as a cause of worse outcomes for black ...

Re: Sheetz hit with federal discrimination lawsuit
What happens if the government wins this case? I have no idea. Perhaps a fine that could be appealed. More likely my guess is that they settle and enter into a consent decree in which Sheetz agrees to change its hiring practices. And that will become a marker for other firms to comply with. If the ...
