Re: Revival Meetings in Evangelical/Mainline Anabaptist
I don't think that big revival meetings were every really an overt policy of mainstream Mennonite conferences. My understanding of this history is that certain Mennonite individuals such as the Brunk brothers started their own stand-alone revival ministries that were not really under the auspices o...

Re: Do important people still sign checks?
Ah, there's some subtext in my mind - the defense is trying to say that Trump was not involved in these payments. But the witnesses who would know seem to be speaking with one voice, saying that he did indeed sign the checks, and this was in keeping with his usual practice. That's what I was addres...

Re: HPV and Cancer link
Pshaw. Trot out the 15%-17% HPV stat? Tell me what the cervical cancer percentage is for people who live like we do. You threaten cancer on one hand and on the other you give HPV stats as if they are interchangeable. They aren’t. Seems like you are familiar with firearm statistics. Why don’t you te...

Re: War in Gaza
What did you actually mean by equating the ICC to a local magistrate adjudicating speeding tickets? I think if you would read Josh's comments in this thread it's fairly easy to figure out what he meant. The ICC is an international criminal court for war criminals not a local magistrate adjudicating...

Re: HPV and Cancer link
I will dismiss the "barefoot " part, if there is broken glass around it would drive a decision. My children were never around firearms, only a very small minority of people in our fair city have them, and they are concentrated in certain areas. How little you actually know about this plac...

Re: War in Gaza
Here is the complete list of all 54 people indicted by the ICC since 2005. Perhaps you can tell us which ones were illegitimate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_indicted_in_the_International_Criminal_Court What is your answer for holding leaders accountable for war crimes and acts of g...

Re: Amish World's Healthiest Children
CLAIM: A new, comprehensive study has found zero cases of Amish children with cancer, diabetes, autism or other serious medical conditions and few deaths from COVID-19 because Amish people don’t get vaccinated. Reminds me of one of those quotes from our very own Stevie Wonder - "You spare part...

Re: Amish World's Healthiest Children
For once Ken and I agree on something. Another aspect that might keep Amish children more healthy is the fact they usually live in less sterile environments, than their non-Amish peers. The fact that they are around horses, other animals, run barefoot, maybe don't bathe as often, etc. builds up the...

Re: Bunny Trails
I would guess there are a lot of Gazan civilians who have no desire to be killed because of the warmongering ways of a government they didn't want From some sources I have heard, they are claiming about 80% of Palestinians supported the Oct 7 raid. If you watch the videos, you will see massive supp...
