Re: Sheetz hit with federal discrimination lawsuit
The thing to remember about companies such as Sheetz is that they do all of their job applications online through web forms. All similar big retail companies do the same. No human is actually reading or doing the first screen of applications. Apparently Sheetz set up a data screen that automaticall...

Do we have your consent to call you "Saved" and "Regenerated"?Judas Maccabeus wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 7:28 pm Men may call me a knave or a fool, a rascal, a scoundrel, and I am content; but they shall never by my consent call me reformed.
Borrowed, in part, from John Wesley.

Re: Preparation for Baptism
I'm open to baptizing someone the same day, or take 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, whatever it takes to get a person ready for baptism. I've never understood why churches feel a need to have a set period of time for baptism preparation such as, no shorter than _____ and not longer than ________. A lot o...

Re: Sheetz hit with federal discrimination lawsuit
This is of particular interest because we do background checks for prospective employees at my business. We don't automatically disqualify them for failing them, but I wonder why such a policy would subject one to a discrimination suit just because it disproportionately affects people of color. Why...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
So therefor it follows that one who is not”born “ is not saved. You are deliberately trying to obscure your view that an unbaptized person is not saved. Someone who is not born does not live. Once again, I will repeat Josh’s question. Yes or no. No weasel words please. I'm spending an awful amount ...

Re: Sattler College Turmoil
I read the Sword and Trumpet debate, but it's been months. Could you please share the quotes where MM said that someone not rightly baptized is lost and still in their sins? Because I don't recall him saying and that feels like something I would remember. Words mean things. If one believes in bapti...

Yes, that's him. I'd say he has done a tremendous amount of work, pouring through basically all of the articles that might contain photos, diagrams, or text info that a conservative parent would not want to have available to a child. (It is, of course, a parent's rightful place to be able to do thi...
