Re: Election Investigations

Boot, we heard for 4 years that Trump's presidency was basically illegitimate because of "Russian interference". Why should we not believe that Biden's presidency is not illegitimate now because of American interference in Ukraine (for example)? We know that the Biden family had extensive...

Re: The Never-Marrieds

I was told by semi-conservative Mennonites that “God doesn’t call everyone to marry” at hearing that I was single. This was nearly ten years ago. I have met very few older single males that have no interest in getting married. So my question is the following: are marriages between older people disco...

Re: POLL: Relating to Power: The Christian and Politics

"Allowing?" How are they supposed to stop it? You can't stop abortions other than by force. I would tell a doctor or a mother that abortion is wrong and that if they have done or are doing so, they need to repent. Any political figure that is advocating or protecting abortion is allowing ...

Re: POLL: Relating to Power: The Christian and Politics

That's got nothing to do with politics. If someone is engaging in adultery, I can flatly say he needs to repent - regardless of political affiliation.
So if a person is allowing unborn babies to be killed, can we tell that person that he/she needs to repent regardless of political affiliation?

Re: Ecclesiastes

Actually, his conclusion was to fear God and keep his commandments. The difference between the two is significant, and I will need to add a chapter or postlude to my book to deal with that. I think that this aptly portrays the difference between the two covenants.
You are correct.
